    Anyone else listening to them?

I have stumbled upon then via their Facebook Page. I'm new to podcasts  But the few I've listened to have been pretty good. They are interview chats bit are clear and easy to follow with topical discussions ;)

They're 15-20 Min long which I think is a good length

Listen to The secrets to my success – how I built a massive portfolio on a modest income by The SPI Show #np on #SoundCloud

I'm new to sound cloud and podcasts but there's a link and you geniuses can work it out :D

Yes, I only recently discovered SPI podcast a month ago. It's my favourite Aus property podcast atm.

I've been listening to it on the way to & from work. I'm actually disappointed when it finishes & I have to listen to something else.

Someone mentioned Hal Elrod on the morning routine thread. I have been listening to a few of his podcasts. Finding them really interesting. A little OTT American at times but still great info. I think you would enjoy his stuff @bob shovel

It is. I tried Stitcher and Overcast as iOS alternatives after all my and Overcast wins hands down-
Overcast: Podcast Player on the App Store
All the Aus property podcasts are there (even EPI) and found a few more I hadn't seen before albeit more Americancentric.

They even have a 'Skeptics FAQ' as to why it's free etc.

Has anyone listened to the mortgage choice interview? It haunts me and I question all future podcasts from these guys. (I posted a longer story in the precast thread)

Listened to the latest episode of this drivel (smart property investor)..

Featuring some so called "investor" and is portfolio and him giving tips.. I'll break down the basics of the podcast.

    1. Bought PPR is decent suburb.
Didn't pay an extra cent onto the loan (non intentional)
Spent some cash upgrading the property when he got his bonuses.
    Rode the standard Sydney cycle.

In 2013 did some reading on investments

2.Got talked into buying a house and land package in Newcastle area for $500k
3 years to date has gone up $25k

    3. About to settle on a OTP townhouse on the outskirts of Gold Coast $380k $410 pw rent..

Is this someone who should be interviewed on a property podcast?
To me there is no result or substance at all in this portfolio. Simply bought a PPR he could afford (which has done well), got talked into a H&L by a spruiker and sounds like another one OTP now..

So the investments themselves have no equity nor achieved an outcome, just piggybacked off the PPR equity.

To me seems like the position has gone backwards.
If listened to multiple examples like this lately..
Like interviewing a tennis player who has never won a game but thier father/mother was a decent player..

This is what novice investors are meant to aspire to? Such an unregulated industry..
I fear for many in the future. Also inspired me to try to make a difference and protect and advise as many as I can to avoid financial ruin and make sprukers accountable..

@Greyghost yep i thought it was very average to, if not poor advice.
When i heard Newcastle i thought ok that could have done something. ..but no, best thing was long term tenant. ...on a periodic leaseo_O
Good to have a go and get some but not really great buying.
I'll have to send them another email critiquing their show:cool: they did email me after i commented on their website but once i listed the faults they never got back to me

That's awesome good on you for calling them out.
Thinking about the Newcastle property only generating 25k of equity from 2013-2016, I think it is because he overpaid on it due to sprukers and developers margin, otherwise he may have had $90k + in equity.

Style & format are good ...

But the quality of those interviewed has plummeted.

Actually thought of unsubscribing after the thinly veiled DHA infomercial that was passed off as last weeks episode.
