@Tekoz there are different reasons as to why house prices drop or in this case, might drop in Parramatta. Take a walk in Parramatta and observe.

Hm... So far my observation from many different R/E agents as well as the OTP vendor who tried to sell me Parra property, they mentioned that Parramatta is the number 1 investing place for 2015 and beyond, this is backed by multiple different independent news source confirming the largest project sponsored by the government as well.

@larrylarry Yes, 6 months ago I was walking down the Great Western Highway in searching for $500k 2/1/1 apartment but somehow outbidded during the auction by $100k+, anyway... yes I saw some car/motorcycles business closing down, but that place I believe has been bought by the OTP apartment developers, not necessary due to the recession.

Perhaps @WinDyz. can also comments on this one ?

So you only walked on one street and that's Parramatta that you know?

Lots of people trying to sell units in parramatta , therefore lots of hype ...

Re Asquith . Haven't checked it out recently , but that whole area north of Hornsby was booming 2 years ago , so I'd be surprised if it hasn't already moved significantly .

I'd be looking a bit further north ....

By a bit further north you mean Mt Colah, Mt Kuringgai and Berowra? Or further north up the F3? My parents' house in Hornsby is getting letter drops from REAs trying to sell their house in these "unique economic conditions"...

That building ( used to be Collins Motorcycles I think) has been taken over by the developer to use as the sales office for the development that will be built on the site of the old Holden dealership at Auto Alley West Village

The southern corridor to Parramatta, along Auto Alley is slated for significant development. Harris Park Railway station and Parramatta Railway Station will serve the area.

$600M development planned for Parramatta’s Auto Alley | Parramatta City Council

Yeah just read about that. Apparently NY, LA and Washington combined have about 170 as we speak. Sydney has about 220 in operation. Amazing....

HAVE YOU BOUGHT ANYTHING YET. GOLD, SILVER , PROPERTY or anything else? Until you learn to play the game you will just keep winging. Do you even know anything about the suburb Telopea? Do you know anything about the demographics of Telopea? We only seem to hear from you when there is a gloom and doom story you can latch onto.

Sure Darren, always buying and selling Gold/Silver, some $ to be made if you know what to look for in dealers windows, just a lunchbreak hobby really, but worthwhile ;). In process of having online business built which you'd probably have worked out if you ventured in business section of site. In the market for a PPOR, but no hurry.

No need to take my posts so personally, do you have an apartment in Telopea or something?
