    Hi perthians

Are we keen to try and get something happening on a semi regular basis? Perhaps aim for monthly?

I'm not to familiar with what's happened in the past with meetups and what has and hasn't worked but I'm putting it out there for everyone to jump in and pick a date and area to get something happening.

The timing and location is usually the tricky part I guess but if we take turns to suggest a date and place we'll see what interest there is.

I know everyone has their different things on so it's not possibly to keep everyone happy but if they're more regular there's more chance of getting to one.

I'd think roughly there would be:
    midweek during business hours
    Midweek after hours
    And weekends

Location wise I'm not sure where everyone is from or what's best but indicate a general area and it can then be narrowed down
    City centre
    North of the river
    South of river
    East of city
(is this reasonable or how it's done ??)

I look forward to the next meetup!
@HD_ACE you want to go first? ;)

I'm in, just need a date.
Somewhere with easy free parking and good food/drinks is best.

    Good idea @bob shovel

The parking at the place in Vic Park was really good, was it the Windsor @Mal Gordon ? - easier than Northbridge.

    Suggestions:
Mandoon Winery for a day time kid friendly one
Freo? for the deep south people like @Jess Peletier

I'm easy on days, weekends etc as I'm a slack pyjama wearing unemployed bum.

In Summertime I'll host one in the deep south -bbq and beach? No promises that you won't get handed a paint brush on arrival though ;)

But until then, during the day is best for me. Freo or Rockingham is good? Gateways/Success?

Yeap I am always keen if it's on my week off. I will travel anywhere. The most popular have been the pubs like Bayswater hotel and Balmoral in Vic Park. Good for a Sat Lunch/arvo.

    Some other ideas
    - Little creatures in fremantle
    - Hillaries boat harbour
    - Anywhere in the swan valley

Lots of choices really. Either good coffee or cold beer and I am happy :)

Plenty of options and as a large number of us are unemployed bums we should be able to arrange plenty of meetups! :D

I'm flexible with location to, so would be able to get around Perth no worries and any day pending the "worker's" roster.

We'll give it a few days and see who else sticks their nose in and we should be able to get a good indication.

Some reno's are fun to see too, but in my experience with my mates can easily go to standing around drinking beers looking at the job!

So who is going to go first?? Start a thread and go for it, could get a September meet in. Plenty of suggestions just need it locked in!

And not me, got a wedding coming up so we'll be off for a bit. I may be able to infiltrate a Sydney meetup though

    Central works well for me.

Having to renew my passport every time I cross the Narrows becomes tiresome!

    @rhinsor ......

I'm only free this weekend not next so I'm guessing I won't be there as it's probably too late to get something happening.
