I am a big fan of audio content, and podcasts have provided me with hours of fascinating listening. Does anyone else share the love of podcasts, and if so what do you listen to?
I usually use the app Stitcher to download all my podcasts to my phone.
    Here are my favourites:

    Science:
StarTalk: Host is Neil deGrasse Tyson a very charismatic populariser of science. The show is mostly about the topic of space, however Neil interviews a bunch of interesting people in other areas of the sciences. There is usually a comedian as a co-host which makes the show fun and entertaining
Skeptics Guide to the Universe: Hosted by panel of speakers, the show is a blend of science and skepticism. Consistently running for a number of years, the production quality is excellent. Segments include things like discussion of the latest science articles, interviews, games, discussion of interesting people in science history etc.
Radiolab: Another great show. Not completely science based, more of an exploration of interesting things that you may not have heard of.

    History:
Hardcore History with Dan Carlin: Probably my favourite podcast of them all. Dan Carlin does multi-part series on various historical events. Currently he is covering WW1, but previous topics included the Mongol invasion, WW2 Eastern front, Roman Republic, Punic Wars and more. His older content is now under a paywall however. what I love about Dan Carlins podcast, is that he makes everything come alive in his podcasts. He loves to explore the human experience component in all his episodes and what it would be like to be living in those peoples shoes.
Stuff you missed in History Class: A shorter format history podcast, that brings out the forgotten nuggets of history. Still very interesting.

    Other notable mentions:
The Very Bad Wizard: Philosophy Podcast
This Week in Tech: Technology podcast

I use Pocket Casts to sync across all my devices. Costs 3 bucks for your phone and 9 bucks for PC's and laptop (one time payment only), but it was worth it. I love it, it's so simple to use. The podcasts I listen to are:

    - Chase Jarvis Live
    - EON Financial Group SMSF Podcast
    - Masculine Style
    - Mixergy
    - Monday Morning Podcast
    - Planner Pulse
    - Social Triggers Insider
    - Start The World
    - StartUp
    - The #AskGaryVee Podcast
    - Art of Manliness
    - The New Business Podcast
    - The Refer Match Podcast
    - The School of Greatness
    - The Tim Ferriss Show

Just started listening to this one last night: Wilosophy with Wil Andersen. Pretty good so far.

Have listened to the John Safran and Adam Spencer ones so far. Next up: Judith Lucy, should be a corker!

I enjoy the Joe Rogan experience - has some interesting guests.

Grantland and the starters provide my sports/NBA fix.

    Cheers

We listen to ABC radio (one of three to pick from). Lately it is too gruesome and depressing hearing the news as we drift off. We now listen to Richard Fidler, BBC science or history podcasts.

Yeah, I quite enjoy this one.

I just started on Planet Money. The name may suggest finance, but it's not actually the case.

Isn't he a bit of a wacky stoner now? And UFC commentator of course.

    Kind of.

Some of his guests are super interesting - and Joe himself is a great conversationalist. When it goes off on a drug tangent it becomes a bit boring IMO.

I don't listen to the UFC stuff - I never got into it.

That's like the Bill Maher podcast I listen to which is just the audio recording from his Real Time show. I enjoy his humour, and there is some funny political commentary, but sometimes he goes goes off the rail and starts proposing alternative medicine and other woo.

I listen to a few different ones...
Carolla Show (the guy from the man show who isn't Kimmel generally ranting about various things)
The Dollop (2 comedians talking about weird things that happened in history)
Property Couch (2 guys talking about property)
Lowe Post and Jalen & Jacoby (both NBA)

There's so many good one's out there, just so hard to find the time to a) find them, and b) listen to them!

Yep I love podcasts as well, have been listening to them for about 2 years and now can not drive in the car, cook dinner or do any work around the house, without listening to a podcast at the same time.

The learnings you pick up from them are amazing.

    Being a small business owner most of the ones I listen to are business related. But some of you might like some of these as well. They are;
    • Small Business Big Marketing
    • The Ask Gary Vee Podcast
    • Ask Pat
    • Tradies Business Show
    • Small Business Naked
    • Become a Pro Blogger
    • Beers Blokes & Business
    • Superfast Business

    Regards
    Ben

There was an episode a while ago with a UFC fighter detailing his life changing ayahuasca experiences in Peru. Unexpectedly, I found it one of the most fascinating, profound episodes of his podcast.

You never know what you'll get with the Joe Rogan Experience. Martial arts, neuroscience, drugs, sasquatch, cosmology–it's a lucky dip.
